Many see education as growing and becoming accessible to everyone, but for the underprivileged, that is not the case. Vikalp fills this gap by allowing us to contribute to our lovely students through focused learning, most of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds.
In the beautiful backyard of Trikuta, cradled in the lap of Matarani and surrounded by the giggles of other children—a fairy tale brought to life. VIKALP offers some of life’s most underrated gifts: resilience, perseverance, patience, and above all, a deep sense of satisfaction. And along the way, you’ll meet some of the kindest hearts.

Vikalp wasn’t just a volunteering experience, it was the linchpin of my journey at SMVDU, where my heart learned to love unconditionally, where every innocent smile, every laugh, every tight hug, and every little hand I held became a piece of my soul, a memory time can never erase.
In Vikalp -spending time with children showed me how small acts can make a big difference. Their smiles and questions made every day special. Teaching them wasn’t only about studies, but about sharing love, learning patience, and seeing life in a simple, beautiful way. Vikalp taught me that real happiness comes not from success alone, but from helping others grow with you.
Signed up to make an impact, maybe teach a little. Ended up learning in the moments that laughed back at me — because the best lessons sneak up on you, and sometimes, you’re the student all along.
Vikalp bridges the gap between the marginalized and the elite by confronting us with the struggles of poor, Struggles that are not by choice, but by innate circumstances. Here, teaching is no longer just volunteering; it is an act of solidarity, where we are responsible to include everyone in the learning process, so that the power of knowledge is not exclusively held by the privileged class.
Vikalp is more than a student organisation . It is a family where students and teachers learn, grow, and rise together. It is a personality-development platform that reconnects you with the innocence, dreams, and curiosity of your childhood. Here, you don’t just learn for yourself, you heal your past by helping other children overcome the challenges you once faced. Vikalp is a movement of dedication, compassion, and self-transformation , a place where becoming a better human is the greatest achievement.
Being part of Vikalp has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my student journey. Teaching the kids and working closely with the team taught me patience, empathy, and real responsibility. I grew a lot—both in managing people and in understanding how to work together with purpose. I also made some wonderful friends and memories that I’ll always carry with me.
Vikalp has been the most rewarding part of my college life. Leading this family taught me responsibility, patience, and the true joy of giving back. Every smile from the children, every effort from our volunteers, and every small moment of growth made this journey unforgettable. I joined as a volunteer, but I’m leaving with memories, values, and a purpose that will stay with me forever.
